Mixtape Monday: What we're into rn
Our inaugural staff picks include Tyler, the Creator; Scowl; and Edwin Raphael.
If Dani Rojas was a frontman instead of an AFC Richmond soccer player, he might say: ”Music is life.”
The tunes we listen to while we’re coding, designing, producing, testing, writing, and otherwise creating at Activision Blizzard King truly run the gamut: metal, hip hop, EDM, garage rock, folk, soul…it goes on and on.
Each week, we’ll share five tracks from employees around the company. Then we’ll add it to a sweet Spotify playlist that will serve as a sort of infinity bottle for our best jams.
Below, our inaugural picks:
Scowl, “Psychic Dance Routine.” Fuzzed out, poptastic garage rock. (Recommended by Shawn Barnett, senior talent marketing specialist, Blizzard)
Tyler, the Creator, “Heaven to Me.” We love a Tyler who’s all about self-acceptance. (Recommended by Savana Maleska, senior QA functional tester, Activision)
Edwin Raphael, “Isle of Strawberries.” A reverb-soaked solo mood. (Recommended by Jack Jeno, QA functional tester, Activision)
JKLL/Creeds, “Multiverse.” Like a robot on a runaway roller-coaster. (Recommended by Hailey Tindell, QA functional tester, Activision)
Blue Swede, “Hooked on a Feeling.” Just let the ooga chakas carry you, OK? (Recommended by Charles Vinson, senior QA project lead, Activision)
(Editor’s note: The QA department has spoken, apparently.)
That’s it for this week!
