Oliver Heldens, Call of Duty partner on EDM anthem
The techno track is called "Sound of Vondel" and it's available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 04.
Oliver Heldens, the global electronic dance music artist, has crafted a new dance track for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 04.
It’s called “Sound of Vondel” and the anthem takes inspiration from the battle royale game’s new map, which features navigable water, floating homes, and two central power positions.
Heldens is best known for his work in the future house genre, but the composition draws from the DJ’s deeper, darker alias HI-LO. The track was made in partnership with Dutch-based EDM music label Spinnin’ Records.
“I wanted to create something in my techno-focused alter ego HI-LO’s style, mixed with sound bites from the game, like the Captain Price vocal liner/sample and elements/sounds from their soundtracks, and with a cinematic feel to it, more on the melodic techno side of things,” he told Activision’s Mark Pawluk in an exclusive interview.
The song is available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. Operators dropping into Vondel will also be able to hear the track in-game.
