Mornin’. This is the final edition of The Edit.

From the very first issue, this newsletter was meant to be our love letter to millions of gamers around the globe. For 38 sends, we did just that, exploring stories at the intersection of gaming and life. Achievement unlocked, as they say.

Here are 10 of our favorites:

Why we're so obsessed with hell in TV, music, movies, and games
How to break into the world of voice acting for games
Meet a real-life chess queen taking the Internet by storm
Did you know Dwarf Metal was a thing? Neither did we
Pickleball is America's hottest new game. We explore why
Just what is a loremaster, exactly?
How gaming helped this soldier reconnect with his son
The rising trend of the 'lonely game'
How Alodia Gosiengfiao turned cosplaying into a multimedia empire
How Dungeons & Dragons became a tool for group therapy

(You can find the rest of our work here.)

We're so thankful you went on this journey with us. We made some (pretty awesome tbh) Monday mixtapes, enjoyed fleeting moments of meme, and went down enough wormholes to lose an entire week's worth of afternoons.

It's been an honor. From us to you: Troll the respawn, Jeremy.

P.S. We had one more story we’d like you to rea—er, listen to. It’s our first foray into audio storytelling: an aural history (get it?) of Hugo, otherwise known as Hugo the Troll, a call-in TV game show from the 1990s that was an innovative hit in more than 40 countries. We hope you enjoy it.

P.P.S. OK OK, here's one more wormhole, you rascals:
