Diablo IV: Season of Blood is coming Oct. 17
The second season of Blizzard's blockbuster action game is coming this fall, with a star turn by Gemma Chan as vampire hunter Erys.
What a debut for Diablo IV.
The smash-hit action role-playing game from Blizzard has seen 12 million players and 1.3 billion hours of playtime (that’s an average of more than 100 hours per player) since its world premiere on June 6.
Players have begun to best the boss known as The Butcher, too. The latest tally is more than 40 million Butcher deaths (by players) versus nearly 30 million player deaths (by Butcher).
Ouch.
At Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday, Blizzard announced that Diablo IV’s second season is on the horizon. Season of Blood will arrive Oct. 17 and focuses on the rise of vampires—oh yes—in the world known as Sanctuary.
Better still, actress and producer Gemma Chan will voice a vampire hunter named Erys.
Will you get new supernatural powers to protect Sanctuary?
Will you get to face off against a vampire lord?
Will you get a new Questline to uncover and five fresh endgame bosses?
Yes, yes, and yes. (The stakes are clearly, um, high.)
